AVRO’s summer school lets your teen earn a new Ontario credit or strengthen a subject over the summer, in small classes at our school in midtown Toronto. It is a focused month that can help a student fast-track ahead or shore up a foundation before the school year.
Earn a credit or get ahead over the summer
Summer school at AVRO is personalized and intensive. Each credit runs about a month, and your teen takes one credit per term so the focus stays on a single subject.
That concentrated rhythm makes the most of the summer. Instead of juggling a full timetable, your teen goes deep on one course and comes out with a completed Ontario credit, whether they are getting ahead for next year or building a stronger base in a course they found challenging.
Everything follows the Ontario curriculum, and the criteria for completing a summer credit are the same as during the regular year, so the OSSD credit your teen earns carries the same weight.
Courses and format
Summer terms run in one-month blocks across July and August, with courses centred on the subjects where a focused month tends to pay off most.
